memory Eliane: When to believe is the only option

The year was 1960. Machines and employees stopped. In the reality of those days, arrears also disturbed conscience. Situation that didn't last long. With 300 thousand cruises in a folder, Maximiliano Gaidzinski headed for the judge in order to put all the money into labor agreements. Social responsability, a company brand since then.
It was still January 1960 when machines and employees went back to work at Cerâmica Cocal - already Cerâmica Eliane. The relief of not living with old debts would come just two years later, but the worst was over. With maximum capacity, production was 9 thousand square meters of white tiles per month. Expressive number for those days, but the tiles were white - the decorated ones were still on their way. And they came as a result of much persistence.
During the nights, an uneasy sleep watched over the pieces coming out of the oven. It's clear day, the food waited nearby, to preserve the heat, waiting for the time when the service could give a truce. The watch was constant. There was so much at stake that there was no doubt about the effort. After setting the oven temperature, it was Seu Milo who received the first tile 15×15 cm decorated yet warm, a successful birth after so much persistence.
A kiss in the play consolidated the moment of victory, and made the tile a historic item (that can be seen at the Memorial of Eliane in Cocal do Sul, Santa Catarina). The production of decorated tiles turned out to be more than a novelty, was the driving force behind technological advancement and served as a basis for growth. Persistence is an essence that remains, that is rooted in Eliane's DNA.
Boreal is the collection that carries in its genetic code the pioneering spirit of a company that went beyond daring, believed it was possible, as if it were the only acceptable option. Inspired by this historic collection of 15×15, with better quality and precision of design also due to the changes in the process during those years and the materials such as granules and paints.
