The 2nd edition of the Connectarch Summit, the biggest digital event of architecture and design, promoted by the brands Eliane and Decortiles. this tuesday (10) the event brought together major architectural references, design, behavior, innovation, creativity and other topics related to current events. the architects Sarkis Semerdjian e Fernando Forte; the stylist Ronaldo Fraga and the futuristic Peter Kronstrøm were some of the names of the first day of the event, talking about the topic “Creative Minds”, with comments by Pedro Ariel, curator of CasaCor.
creative processes
The first lecture of the day was led by Sarkis Semerdjian, from the Pascali Semerdjian Architecture office. With the theme "Processes", Sarkis showed that each step of creation takes place in a different way., because they are all very particular especially because of the situation in which they are experienced.
According to Sarkis, there is no way to have much control over the creative process, which is a little different from what happens with art. Sarkis showed how some of these constructions of creative processes work., exemplifying with projects developed by your office. “There are things that took five years to be ready. Of course we didn't spend five years doing. You do, then stops and after a while resumes. Is that dissatisfaction is part of this process”.
future studies
The second lecture of the evening was given by the futurist Peter Kronstrøm, Danish by birth and Brazilian by heart, fundador da Future Lounge e Head do Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies Latin America, that addressed the topic: "Future Connect - Continuous Transformations – Future studies".
According to Kronstrøm, “the future can always be a lot crazier than we can imagine”, therefore, future studies serve to help us take innovative attitudes today.
Urban gentleness
The third lecture at the Connectarch Summit 2021 was "Plural architecture” with Fernando Forte, from the FGMF Architecture office. The architect showed that architecture is closely linked to people's lives and activities and that, therefore, he tries to bring some urban kindness to the city, widening the sidewalks, for example, as in the case of the Japan House project.
Fernando presented several projects that show this plurality of activities of the FGMF office, from design to doghouses – a project conceived by designer Kenya Hara, Muji's artistic director, that invited architects from several countries to think about new architectural environments in order to change the way of interaction between tutors and their dogs.
to strong, urban kindness is something that needs to be on the agenda of society. “The solution is not to close yourself behind wires and bars”, it takes architectural reasoning to reuse an idea that creates well-used spaces.
Design, fashion and architecture
The last lecture of the night was with stylist Ronaldo Fraga, that addressed "Fashion design as a chronicle of a country”, praising Lina Bo Bardi's contribution to Brazilian architecture and design, mainly with the creation of the first fashion school at MASP (São Paulo Museum of Art Assis Chateaubriand). Another great reference that guided the stylist's presentation was Mário de Andrade.
Ronaldo says that the book “O Turista Aprendiz”, in which the writer gives an account of his travel adventures exploring the corners of Brazil, influenced him in such a way that he proposed to follow the poet's lifestyle in order to travel around the country.
In addition to presenting some of its collections, that prioritize the local culture and value the simple design and functionality of the pieces, Ronaldo Fraga also pointed out the need to use fashion and design to be much more than clothes.
