Milo series wins international AZ Awards 2024

Winners were announced on the last day 21 by AZURE in a ceremony held in Canada.

This is a moment to go down in history! And the Milo series, co-creation between Eliane and Cité Arquitetura, won the AZ Award 2024, in the interior products category. Promoted by AZURE magazine, one of the main architecture and design vehicles in the world, the award recognizes excellence and innovation in projects, products and ideas at a global level.

Milo series: The union of memory and tradition

Winning the award for the Milo series becomes even more special as it is the only Brazilian coating recognized in Latin America. As a differential, AZURE highlighted the iconic designs engraved in low relief on the surface of the piece – a tribute to the founder of Eliane Revestimentos, Maximilian Gaidzinski, affectionately called Milo. This tribute honors the company's trajectory and the importance of affective memories.

Recognition of Brazilian design

Architects Celso Rayol and Fernando Costa celebrate winning the award. “This award celebrates ancestry, who guided Milo’s entire co-creative process. Conquered through popular vote, This achievement further legitimizes the path we have taken. Our ceramics reflect the memory of the Brazilian people and Eliane herself, rescuing past and present to give new meaning to narratives, sensations and spaces in a sensitive reinterpretation. A true toast to affective design, that tells stories through materials, shapes and colors”, comments Rayol.

The Milo series reflects the growing appreciation of projects that combine functionality and affection, bringing an aesthetic that celebrates the importance of history and memories. The low-relief drawings refer to the legacy of Maximiliano Gaidzinski and the tradition of Eliane, company that has been among the sector leaders in Brazil for more than six decades.
