Meet the Campana Brothers
Fernando, who has a solid career recognized nationally and internationally alongside his brother Humberto Campana, incorporates the idea of transformation and reinvention, making everyday materials precious, poor or common, that carry not only creativity in their design, but many Brazilian characteristics.
The Campana brothers are the creators of iconic pieces of design and art, among the best known is the Red Armchair (1993) made from a roll of rope wrapped in a metallic sculpture. A Armchair, together with the Cone Chair (1997) and the Inflatable Table (1995), became part of the permanent collection of MoMa, New York Museum of Modern Art.
