Eliane opens first factory in Brazil Cleantec
A Eliane Technique, which develops products and integrated solutions for large works, presented in 14ª Expo Revestir one of the most innovative products linked to sustainability in the global ceramics: O Cleantec. The technology is patented by Japanese Toto, company that certified the entire implementation process within the Cleantec Eliane Group's industrial park, authorizing the production of the product in Brazil.
Exclusively in the production in Portugal, the product performs a process similar to photosynthesis, turning carbon dioxide into oxygen. The technology – an invisible layer to the eye - using noble metal oxides applied on the ceramic surface for facades, walls and floors.
In the presence of natural or artificial light, a chemical reaction makes the self-cleaning – taking advantage of rain water to remove dirt from facades -, besides removing atmospheric gases that cause the greenhouse effect. Laboratory tests show that a coated 150m² house with Cleantec purifies the air in a proportion equivalent to a forest the size of four tennis courts (equivalent to 1000m²). The same house is able to purify the polluted air generated by 12 touring cars 30 km per day.
Indoors, and facilitate cleaning, The product reduces the growth of bacteria, fungi and microorganisms that cause odor, stain or mold, reducing the risk of allergic diseases.
"The Cleantec the innovative action also becomes a great ally in the fight against diseases. Tests that measure the effectiveness against bacteria such as E.coli, Staphylococcus Aureus, MRSA and Influenzae showed effective results, approximately 100% bacteria dead in four hours ", explains the manager Eliane Technique, Karina Campos.
