Environmental Day: recycling in favor of natural resources
Here at Eliane we believe that sustainable practices go beyond our commitment to the environment forming an ethical and transparent relationship with all of society. Therefore, this date so important, share of the actions implemented in the production process of our coatings: O system of recycling of solid waste.
A ceramic as Eliane has now between the paper waste generated, cardboard, plastic, iron scrap, gray and ceramic breaks, materials after the recycling process to turn raw material thanks to this system that manages the waste correctly and safely, avoiding their disposal in sanitary and industrial landfills and ensuring the recycling of the material.
Benefits, waste management prevents the accumulation of large environmental liabilities, reduces the impact on the environment and also reduces costs generated by industry. Any employee can collaborate with recycling respecting implemented selective collection in the company.
On the last year, units of Eliane recycled together almost 500 kilos of cardboard, more of 145 kilos of plastic and over 500 kilos of metal waste. These figures are equivalent to almost 3 million liters of water spared, others 2.638 preserved trees units and a savings of over 6,5 million hours of energy!
