Connectarch Cast: the architecture of Brasilia, by Daniel Mangabeira
Brasília is also the Brazilian capital of monumental architecture. Brings together an aesthetic heritage, architectural, historical and cultural that is recognized throughout the world – mostly, with the striking signature of Oscar Niemeyer. Opposite these great monuments and commercial buildings, a trio of architects stands out in the city for choosing the residential scale. The daily life of Bloco Arquitetos is precisely participation in the construction of people's daily lives.
Daniel Mangabeira, architect and one of the office partners, is the guest of Connectarch Cast, the podcast produced by Connectarch, Eliane's relationship program, and shared a little of his affection and admiration for the city he adopted for his life. Bahian by birth, he was enchanted by Brasília to live and work. “Brasília is a cozy city despite being a city with such open spaces”, justifies Daniel.
This concept of amplitude inspired by the city was also taken to the daily office life, that he shared in the conversation. “We don’t have a closed room, an isolated space, There's a meeting happening with production… I think this is all very beneficial for the creative process, for you to think loudly – to use a Bahian word here – to think loudly”, account.
