Eliane receives industrial waste management certificate

Eliane received from the company EVA Recycling the certificate that attests to the correct management of industrial waste generated by the company during the year 2017. The document also states that the attitude taken by Eliane creates social benefits, and contributes to sustainable development. Eva Reciclagem is responsible for properly collecting and disposing of waste.
On the last year, according to company data, Eliane units recycled together more than 400 kilos of cardboard, 200 thousand kilos of plastic and almost 500 kilos of metal waste (60 thousand more compared to 2016). In relation to resources saved, the numbers reached 900 thousand liters of water, 2.637 tree units, and savings of more than two million hours of energy.

Solid waste management is a set of actions related to the collection of materials generated throughout the production process. Through this system, waste is managed correctly and safely, avoiding its destination to sanitary and industrial landfills and guaranteeing the reuse of the material. A ceramic as Eliane has now between the paper waste generated, cardboard, plastic, iron scrap, gray and ceramic breaks, materials that, after the recycling process, become raw material again.
